”本物のヴァンパイアハンター”によると、吸血鬼を狩る時に気をつけるべき7つの心得は以下のものだそうです。

1.ヴァンパイアを殺すことはできない、なぜならすでに死んでいるからだ。できることはただ「滅ぼす」のみ。
生きている人間相手ではないので「殺す」ではなく「滅ぼす」になるそうです。

2.苛立ったヴァンパイアは危険。
落ち着いていてもヴァンパイアは危険なような気がします。

3.銃は吸血鬼を苛立たせる。ルール2を見よ。
銃を持って向かっていくと吸血鬼が苛立つので身が危なくなるということらしい。

4.真の吸血鬼とは悪魔である。
吸血鬼の正体は悪魔であると看破。

5.吸血鬼に誘惑されると吸血鬼の仲間になるか、死ぬかである。ルール4を見よ。
誘惑して仲間に引き込もうとするあたりが悪魔だったわけですね。決して折れぬ強い心で立ち向かう必要があります。

6.(コレが最も大事なことだ)キル・ゼム・オール！
要するに全部ぶち殺せ、というわけ。単純明快です。

7.もし疑念を抱いたりした時にはルール6を実行せよ。
「疑うな、迷うな、とにかく奴らをぶち殺せ」ということですね。

このヴァンパイアハンターはさらに「真のハンターにとって、隠密性と器用さこそが最大の防御だ。我々は使命を帯びた騎士なのだ。十字架は我々の盾であり、杭は我々の剣だ」と続けており、このアドバイスをしっかり守ってハンターとして腕を磨けとコメントしています。また、「吸血鬼よりも孤独な唯一の生き物、それがハンターなのだ」と締めています。
